Michelle teaches both classical and contemporary technique.
Her own struggle with injury has influenced her philosophy of ballet technique. Grounded in kinesiological theories, Michelle has developed a system of teaching ballet that aims to present technique as malleable for each individual based on physical capacity and artistic need. From classical ballerina to contemporary dancer, this ballet class is a tool that shapes safe and intentional artistic habits.
Michelle's contemporary classes fuse modern and classical ballet technique with unique movement, challenging choreography, improvisation, and exploration. She encourages students to look beyond the physical shapes of dance, developing intentional and communicative movement from within.
